medium polyisobutylene is a synthetic hydrocarbon formed by polymerization of isobutene.  It is a transparent, non-noxious, high-consistency, semi-solid polymer, free of impurities.  The color can vary between colorless and slightly yellowish.

Medical adhesives  polyisobbutylenes offer excellent adhesion to the skin and cause no irritation or sensitization in skin contact applications. They are easy to peel off the skin.

 Main applications:

Sealants Polyisobutylenes can be used in sealants in double glazing windows and other applications for the construction industry.
Adhesives  Polyisobutylenes can be used in pressure sensitive, hot melt ing or solvent based adhesives.
Roofing  Polyisobutylenes can be used in roofing membranes, waterproofing for tunnels and cellars.
Lubricants  polyisobutylenes can be used as additives to increase the viscosity for a variety of lubricants, including engine oils, gearbox oils, hydraulic fluids, and lubricating greases etc.
Paraffin and waxes  polyisobutylenes can be blended with paraffin wax and other waxes and used to coat or laminate paper. 
Bitumen  polyisobutylenes can be added to bitumen or rubber to get higher melt viscosity and other characteristics.
